I spend countless hours sitting and watching all of them scramble past me, each of them a slave to mortality just as much as I am. I feel sorry for them in a way, because they still fear the end. I embrace the idea of closing my eyes forever. In hundreds of years from now most of them will be erased from history forever, their stories and achievements scattered into the vast universe like ashes. We live in a funeral for all of mankind every day. We remember whatever we can and plan our future frenetically as if it makes a difference. Nothing is forever except nothingness itself. We are all part of the void, just as much as those who no longer exist. I no longer feel anger. Perhaps the only thing I feel now is sorrow for all of us. I can't even feel that most of the time. You are all in the same sinking boat as me.
