She took the news like I expected she would. Frozen in one place, unable to offer comfort, unable to deliver hope. She is my last and only reason to breathe, until the breath is stolen from my decrepit lungs. We can still choose. There is still a way to defeat the sickness. We must be strong and resolute and there can be no hesitation. It must be planned flawlessly because there can be no room for error. Her hand trembles but her face is stern and filled with determination and cause. She is more stubborn than I imagined and I cannot sway her from this path which I was forced upon. I wish we had never met. I'm already filled with regret and images of her corpse, cast aside as a meaningless object to a world she no longer belongs in. If I had a glimmer of hope, something to hold onto in this world other than her, perhaps I could save her. I can't reverse her thought because I inevitably agree with her and can't think of a better solution. I think I have given up on everything. This Friday we take our destiny into our hands and leave this world the only way we see fit. I can't stand to think of the pain I would cause her by abandoning her, but I think I already have. We must not hesitate.
